All Insurance Premiums, taxes, etc are paid by the Owner. The Hirer is responsible for the routine Maintenance and Care of Vehicle and accessories and will present same for free service every seven (7) days.
Speed Limits & Traffic Laws: Speed limit in Tobago is 80 KM/H on the highway and 50 KM/H on minor roads.
Sobriety & Legal Compliance: No driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The vehicle SHALL NOT BE USED for any illegal purposes or in the commission of any crime.
Contract Termination for Legal Breaches: Should the registered driver/s commit ANY breach of the law (even if it does not involve the use of the vehicle) during the period of hire, management reserves the right to terminate the contract and take possession of the said vehicle.
Accident Liability Determination: Liability in the case of an accident is determined by the POLICE OFFICER AND NOT by the driver.
Authorized Driver Restriction: No person, other than the ones submitted/registered shall be entitled to drive during the period of Hire. Management reserves the right to immediately terminate the contract if ANYONE other than the renter is found to be driving the vehicle.
Fuel & Gas Policy: ABSOLUTELY no refund on vehicles returned with extra gas. If the vehicle is returned without the agreed amount of gas, there is a TT $50.00 service charge along with the amount of money required to replace the gas.
Service Area Restriction: Service area is Island-wide Tobago. Under no circumstances is the vehicle allowed to leave the island of Tobago (including transport via inter-island ferry or cargo vessel).
No Pets Allowed: Pets and animals of any kind are strictly prohibited inside all rental vehicles. Hirer agrees that a detailing fee of up to TT $1,000.00 will be charged if evidence of pets (such as pet hair, odor, or interior damage) is found upon vehicle return.
Vehicle Return: Local Customers: Vehicle MUST BE returned at least 2 hours before flight time. International Customers MUST RETURN at least 3 hours before departure. In cases that the customer is not leaving the island of Tobago on the return date the vehicle MUST be returned on or before the return time on the agreement. A MANDATORY late return fee of $100. TTD for cars/station wagons and $150. TTD for SUV'S and 7seaters applies for every hour after the return time or any part there of.
Cancellation Policy: A deposit of 1 day rental for the desired category of vehicle a customer wishes to book is MANDATORY to confirm the booking. Should a customer wish to cancel their booking before 14 DAYS of arrival the deposit can be refunded MINUS the bank charges incurred to send the refund. For Customers that wish to cancel their booking within 14 DAYS of arrival the deposit will be held and can be used within 6 MONTHS of the cancellation date for foreign customers (outside Trinidad and Tobago) and 3 MONTHS for local customers.
Refund Policy: Customers are asked to please ensure that the period of hire is the exact period they need the use of the vehicle for. Customers returning vehicles before the end of the period of hire SHALL NOT BE given a cash refund. However, Customers will be issued with a credit note that MUST BE used within a period of 3 months.
In case of neglect, tampering, loss, theft or accident the Hirer agrees to make good the necessary repairs or compensation up to a maximum of TT $6,500.00, to be paid no later than 24 hours after damages are done to the vehicle.
In any event the Hirer will accept full responsibility for any and all damages (i.e. Collisions, cargo sliding, doing damage from inside out, rips and cigarette burns to the seats and interior etc.). In addition I will accept full liability for any damages or injuries to others and if the vehicle is also used in connection with a crime (i.e. driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident etc.).
N.B. The Hirer will be solely responsible for all DAMAGES done to vehicle if Neglecting Section (2) (D).
Hirer acknowledges and agrees that the vehicle is property of Operator and is to be returned on termination date specified or sooner if demanded by Operator WITHOUT REFUND.
The Hirer agrees that the foregoing insurance information is true and correct and I agree to the conditions of Rental.
Should a vehicle be returned earlier than contracted for any reason, the Hirer acknowledges that the Operator is not obligated to refund any cash funds for the rental or for fuel purchased; credit notes will be issued in accordance with the Refund Policy above.
